Mission Essential Personnel (MEP) is a leading global professional services provider to the U.S. government, friendly foreign nations, and multi-national corporations. Renowned for supplying difficult-to-find linguists and cultural experts in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, MEP also provides intelligence services, training and technical support to the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, homeland security and law enforcement, the State Department and development agencies.
MEP focuses on recruiting, training and managing skilled individuals to support international missions of all types. By any standard – business volume, physical facilities, revenues, or staff size – MEP’s growth since its 2003 founding has been remarkable. The company has grown from a handful of employees bidding for subcontracts to a major player providing operational support and training with 6,000+ employees around the world. MEP has successfully managed more than 20 delivery orders globally, including prime contracts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
MEP's Mission is to Deliver Certainty to its Customers.
In 2006, Ernst & Young named MEP’s founders as Entrepreneurs of the Year for Emerging Markets at the regional level and as national finalists. In 2008, the company dropped “Aegis” from its name to become Mission Essential Personnel, LLC. In 2009, it opened a major office in Chantilly, VA, focused on business development. The American Small Business Coalition presented MEP with its 2009 Founders Award for rapid growth and success serving U.S. Government personnel overseas. The same year, Inc. Magazine included MEP on its “Inc. 500” roll of the fastest growing companies, at #8 in the Government Services category. Washington Technology listed the company among its Top 100 Government Contractors for 2009 based on prime contracting revenue.
MEP is committed to the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and accountability. It is a member of the UN Global Compact, the International Peace Operations Association, and Imagine Asia, which helps children in rural Asian communities.
